National Express East Anglia (NXEA) Wifi Service

Some of you might remember when this Blog was mainly about tech and not constant articles about Suffolk County Council! Anyway I am taking some time out of the battle with Suffolk CC today a review of the National Express East Anglia WiFi Service which launched on the mainline London Liverpool Street to Norwich trains last month at long last.

Firstly this is a long overdue and welcome service. When it launched despite having a trusty Three Mifi which I love and has given me reliable Internet access for some time I decided to subscribe to the new service more to check it out than anything else.

An open letter to "Misunderstood" at Endeavour House (Andrea Hill)

This is an open letter to Andrea Hill, CEO of Suffolk County Council

Dear "Misunderstood"

I read with concern your article "Budget cuts or divestment?" in the Inside SCC March 2011 staff communication this month. In the article you comment that:
Much of the coverage - not just in Suffolk, but also in neighbouring Norfolk and Cambridgeshire -focused on public protest and headlines about anxiety. The danger is that the portrayal of a 'cuts agenda' nationally is creating a charged atmosphere in Suffolk that is confusing our agenda of divestment with budget cuts.

County Councillor Colin Noble and the disappearing blog comments...

I came across an interesting Blog yesterday evening from Suffolk County Councillor Coin Noble who is the porfolio holder for Adult and Community Services. His portfolio includes libraries although strangely he was not present at the recent Endeavour House Meeting for reasons that are still unclear. UPDATE: Although Colin Noble is indeed portfolio holder for Adult and Community Services and that directorate includes libraries for some unknown reason it is Cllr Judy Terry that is portfolio holder for libraries

I noticed he had made a post entitled "Lakenheath Library under threat" which I found astonishing. Not only does the post get the County Council's budget reduction wrong - claiming 28% when it is 19.6% but fails to mention that as a cabinet member the threat to the library is coming from him!

So I submitted two comments on the blog post which invited me to "Leave a Comment" but got the response that they were queued for moderation and I took a screenshot:
