The Eye Mayor Making

Felix Williams the new Mayor of Eye was kind enough to invite me to attend the "mayor making". I was a little unsure what I would make of such pomp and ceremony (as I expect was Felix!) but it was actually a really enjoyable morning and the mood was more fun than serious.

There was a procession down to the church, a service and then another procession back up to the Town Hall followed by a reception in the newly opened Queen's Head complete with a keg of mayor's ale (which was very nice!).

As usual I took a video and some photos so you can see what happened!
